Sawyer Beachcruiser is a fully functional bicycle with a frame that is constructed out of beech plywood. The plywood bicycle with a lowrider geometry was designed by the Netherlands based sculptor and designer Jurgen Kuipers. The beach bicycle is completely hand-built by the designer himself and it is customizable according to the buyer’s taste. The Sawyer Beachcruiser has won the International Bicycle Design Competition (IBDC). It is also available as a non-functional 1:1 model kit.

The beach bicycle is an artistic alternative to the tough, metal motorbikes. The plywood bicycle has also won the Green Dot Award.
